Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell site on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Morris McDougall. Loving mother of Margo Schwerdtfeger (Lyle), Ingleside; Garry McDougall (Marlene), Cornwall; Glenn McDougall (Florence), Toronto; and Mark McDougall (Johanne), Cornwall. Sadly missed by her 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Loved daughter of the late Joseph and Mae (Jesmer) Fobert. Dear sister of Rita Maloney of St. Catharines. Predeceased by her brothers Clarence, Gordon, Emerson and Lloyd Fobert, and her sister, Hazel Brand. Rested at Wilson Funeral Home. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell May 30 at St. Columban’s Catholic Church. Rite of Committal at a later date in St. Columban’s Parish Cemetery.

KEARNS - James Francis

Mr. Francis Kearns at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre on Monday, May 26, at the age of 84 years; Retired Domtar employee. Beloved husband of 46 years to Rita (Grant) Kearns. Loved father of Janice Prieur (Russell), and Mary Frances Lefave (Michael). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Bobby Wilkinson (Anna), Amanda Wilkinson (Randall), Shawn and Sara Prieur; as well as his great grandchildren Draylon Wilkinson and Isabella Prieur. Predeceased by his parents Gerry and Margaret (McMahon) Kearns, as well as his step-mother the former Cassie McElheran; and two sisters at infancy Blanche and Irene. Rested at the Wilson Funeral Home. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell was celebrated in St. Columban’s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, May 29. Rite of Committal followed in St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, Long Sault.

LANTHIER - Andre (Alfred)

At the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus on Sunday, May 25. Andre Lanthier former employee of Long Sault Yarns (Guildan) for over 37 years. Age 70 years. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (Larkin) Lanthier and by a previous marriage, Marie Claire Ivens (Labrecque). Dear father of Nathalie Rivette (Kevin) of Cornwall. Loving grandfather of Brandon and Melodie Rivette. Dear son of the late Armand Lanthier and the late Rachelle Belanger. Dear brother of Raymond Lanthier (late Agnes), Micheline Currier (late Gordon) and Ginette Mayer (Richard) all of Cornwall. Predeceased by one sister, Jacqueline Lanthier. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral took place on Wednesday, May 28 with service in the Memorial Chapel of Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch. Cremation followed.

MURRAY - James Arthur

Peacefully at the Janet Macdonell Pavillion after a courageous battle with Multiple Myelomia on Sunday, May 25. Age 66. Best friend and soulmate of Myrna A. (MacLennan) Murray. Loving father of Arthur Murray (Janice) of Cornwall, Marlene Dunand (Pierre) of Airdrie, Alberta, Glen Murray (Marni) of Black Diamond, Alberta. Precious grandpa to Brett, Brock Murray and Grant Dunard, chosen grandpa to Makenzy and Grady. Brother to Warren Murray of Calgary, Alberta, Muriel Murray of Elliot Lake, Ontario, Benjamin Murray (Patricia) of Williamstown. Predeceased by his parents Russell Elmer and Marion Jean (Keir) Murray. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral took place on Thursday, May 29 at Knox-St. Paul’s United Church. Reverend Jim Leland officiated. Committal followed at St. Andrews United Church Cemetery, Martintown.

At the Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge on Friday, May 23, age 102 years. Beloved wife of the late Philias Lemire. Dear sister of Blanche Sevigny of Cornwall; and Pauline Collette of Lancaster. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Marie Louise (Leroux) Prieur; 1 brother Ernest Prieur; and by 4 sisters Yvonne Archambault; Irene Shaver; Lucille Rombough; and Aurore Burrell. A private family funeral service was held. Rite of committal took place in Nativity Cemetery, Cornwall. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of the Wilson Funeral Home, Cornwall.

Beloved wife of the late Howard Charles Currier. Dear mother of William (Evelyn) of Flin Flon, Manitoba, Arlene Lalonde (Neil) of Glen Walter, Wayne (Aline) of Hamilton Island, Summerstown, Colleen Murphy (Robert) and Doreen McMillan both of Cornwall, Eileen Currier of Pefferlaw and Howard (Esther) of Woodstock. Loving grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Dear daughter of the late John Joseph MacDonald and the late Maud C. (McGahey) MacDonald. Beloved wife of the late Llyod MacGregor of Williamstown. Daughter of the late Ben Munroe and the late Kate Campbell. Sadly missed by stepson William (Bill) MacGregor; niece Roslyn Ross (Gordon) of Vernon, B.C., nephew Murray MacGregor (Melba) and four cousins Alma Runions, Lorna Munroe, Olive Ross and Edith Thompson. SWENSON - Cecil Hilton

Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site, on Monday, May 19, 2008, age 81 years. Mr. Swenson was a former member of the Canadian Armed Forces. Much-loved husband of 59 years to Nancy (Cook) Swenson. Dear father of Connie Buck (Frank), June Pettinella (Marcel Sabourin), Susan Efthimiou (Mike), Janette Montroy (Dalton), David Swenson (Stephanie Burke), Sheila Cullen (Perry Chiasson), Patrick Swenson (Bonnie), Jerry Swenson and Gary Swenson (Kim Blanchard). We will find comfort knowing he is now reunited with his daughter, Patricia Levac (Ian) who passed away on April 29, 2008. Fondly remembered by his sister, May McTavish, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beloved husband of Eva Theresa (Villeneuve) Piché. Beloved father of Robert (Bob) Piché (Janet) of Cornwall and Bernadette Piché (Kevin) of Wainfleet, Ontario. Cherished grandfather of Andrea, Heather, Félicité, Charlene, Victor and great-grandfather of Thomas, Talon, Grace, Gavin, Hunter and Finn. Dear son of the late Hormidas Piché and the late Donalda (Givogue) Piché. Sadly missed by brothers, Rolland Piché (Claire) and Aurèle Piché (Edna).
